I'm pretty sure this is fake or very gimped since the show is an hour long. It's not out on major private torrents yet either so be wary.

The uploader, edshrinker, has a list of previous torrents, mostly Lost, without any complaints - so it's probably not fake.

Probably encoded at lower quality though. He put up multiple versions of some Lost eps, in avi and mp4 quality, with the self-admitted caveat that the avi's were better.

So, I'm guesssing, this is real but of middling quality.

If those of you who are "skeptical" check my history I've been uploading LOST all season.

This is legit, but compressed from a large MPEG file to Mp4...what is used in a P2P. So, I sacrificed some quality for small file size so guys could have a quick d/l

No problem guys - glad I could help. God knows I don't know what I'd do without everyone here who uploads and seeds all my favorites.

About 5 more minutes and the avi conversion will be done. MUCH better quality - but larger file obviously.

I play my Mp4 on Windows Media player.

ed: if you seed an mp4, please leave the resolution 1:1, SDTV 640x480 (24fps p) or HDTV 1280x720p (24fps p)

thnx, and don't forget to hit denterlace if the source is SDTV or 1080i... 720 is progressive there you have to deselect deinterlace if it's on by default...

Can't tell for sure yet; it's not finished uploading. Best guess is to expect streaming quality - a little above youtube or handheld quality. Better than cam or telesync, but not as good as a well-encoded DVDRip.

Ok, finally got a look at the beginning of the file.

The quality is ok, pretty good for 320x240 - as smokeoneit said above.

For comparisons sake, it's about the same quality as The Resistance webisodes, maybe a little better.

ed: you ripped @ 30 fps, if you had ripped this mp4 @ 24fps quality would have been 20% better! and 24fps is perfectly fine even for people like that view it on my HD.TV via a networked media player (dlink dsm520)

ed is almost done seeding! like 15% misisng for hte ones that have started dl this file early on... like in a few minutes speeds should pick up even more... i get like 30-200kbyte//sec, very jumpy... hopefully it will settle in @ around 200-300kbyte/sec, i'm uploading @ around 80kbyte/sec...

I'm recording this with my PC - Tv card is hooked up to my DirectTV sat box. The quality I get is great, but 4 GB for a single hr, cut in half when I edit out commercials and convert it to MPEG with Video ReDo.

My conversion software is free stuff and leaves little room for tweaking.
